Andrew CarlinsEmpowering Education Fellowship - FounderBio: Hi, my name is Andrew Carlins, and I am a proud Oceanside High School graduate class of 2017. Since graduating Oceanside High School, I have worked with migrant/newcomer populations and nonprofit organizations across the US, Europe, and the Middle East to increase access to equitable education, healthcare, and employment. I have also taught ethics courses to students across five generations. I am passionate about community-centered change and empowering underrepresented students to reach their greatest potential. It was with this background and passion that I decided to create the Empowering Education Fellowship. I am excited to see the impact that this Fellowship can create for public school systems and their communities!
In my free time, I enjoy reading (favorite book is The Little Prince), and writing (check out some of my blog posts at: https://kenan.ethics.duke.edu/author/carlins/) Contact: Please reach out to me at [email protected] with any questions or comments about Empowering Education. Thank you for your interest, and I am looking forward to hearing from you! |
