My friend and I were the first people to join this program last year when we were both Sophomores attending Hillside High School in Durham, NC. Over the six weeks of being in the intergenerational fellowship, I've learned a lot. Not just about others, but myself. Since the start of the program, I have felt very excited. Something that motivated me was that I was going to be able to talk to different kids, people, and meet new people. Program at Durham Center for Senior Life was the best thing that ever happened to me, even though I was always late I would make those 20 minutes to get to know everyone and it was awesome learning about what they were doing and what they do, and I honestly loved the way they helped me get through social anxiety
